Migatronic Sigma2 is the second generation of the popular Sigma range of power sources with a maximum output of 300, 400 and 500 A respectively. Available in C (Compact) or S (with separate wire-feed unit) versions and combinable with four different control panels. With or without pulse and with infinitely variable adjustment of all parameters, the Sigma2 machines are designed for advanced MIG/MAG welding of all types of materials - in trades and assembly, heavy industry, offshore and automation.

Intelligent welding concept – with savings:

In this range of inverter-based MIG/MAG welding machines with MMA, Migatronic has concentrated all intelligent elements of the machine in one place: in the user-friendly control panel. The result is an increased internal memory with space for even more welding programs and a new possibility of future update of welding programs via download of data. For example by means of IGC®, an innovative feature that ensures synergic gas flow and large savings. Sigma2 500 also features a gouging function and PowerArc™ programs that ensure full penetration in fillet welds and butt welds using mild steel and stainless steel.

Sigma2 is being manufactured to order. No two Sigma machines are necessarily identical. The machines are made to order in precisely the configuration that matches the welding application.

Automig² I - the fully digital revolution :

The compact Migatronic Automig^{2 I} range are stepless and fully digitised welding machines with unique welding properties, synergies between parameters, and automated functions at all levels. Once the welder has set the main parameters, the machine will automatically adjust all other parameters. From high-duty to quite simple MIG/MAG welding operations, using small or large wire reels. Flex² 3000 is the result of new giant leaps in welding technology and Migatronic’s over 40 years of experience. Developed in co-operation with car makers, steel and gas suppliers and users throughout the world, the Flex² 3000, with or without watercooling, optimises itself and allows the welder to focus on good workmanship.

Digital intelligence:

The digital intelligence in the Flex² 3000 makes it easy to find the program relevant to the individual car make, be it MIG brazing in high-tensile steels or welding in ferritic, stainless steels. The program packages are designed for leading car makes, from Audi over GM to Ferrari’s thoroughbred racer in hardenable aluminium.

Process improvement and less post-treatment:

MIG brazing high-tensile steel is one of Migatronic’s specialist fields. Joining of special alloy thin plates requires a gentle process. This process and much more is built into the memory of the Flex² 3000. The result speaks for itself; the corrosion and strength properties of the material are maintained and only little post-treatment is required owing to a minimum of weld spatter and heat input. And there is hardly any deformation of car body plates

Program Wizard:

The Migatronic Program Wizard™ allows the welder to find the right welding program for an assignment without having to browse through all the programs, and there is no risk of making wrong choices. Program Wizard is a built-in guide in the control panel which finds the right program in the program packages by asking three or four simple questions, for example about type of wire and gas.

The newly developed MJC™ Miga Job Control allows saving of up to 200 individual welding jobs and easy recall of favourite settings.

Lower power consumption - less effect on the environment:

The Omega² range is quite flexible: Five optional power sources and two control panels, manual or synergic. The Omega² is available as a C version (compact) or a versatile S version (separate wire feed unit) with a turnable and detachable wire feed unit and replaceable interconnecting cables. The Omega² 400 and Omega² 550 are available with water cooling. The IGC® (Intelligent Gas Control) is an optional feature in all models, ensuring large-scale gas savings and optimal gas shielding in all current ranges.

From MIG/MAG to MMA or gouging :

With the Advanced control panel, the Omega² is easy to change over from synergic MIG/MAG programs to MMA welding. The Basic panel is manual and recalls that of a conventional MIG/MAG machine with infinitely variable setting of welding voltage, but it has all the advantages of an inverter machine. Omega² Boost or autotransformer:
